MGSSFC

Well after about an eight month hiatus, I’m finally glad to see some quality TV on again (I do make a small exception regarding quality TV, Duck Dynasty is worth the watch). That’s right. College football is back again. My UGA Bulldogs had a disappointing beginning, but I remain hopeful. GO DAWGS!!

I, however, am not disappointed in the response to the Mount Gilead Sunday School Football Challenge (MGSSFC). Its been great to see the results and speak with you all about the MGSSFC. Thank you. I hope you and your class take this as an opportunity to have some fun while strengthening your class. Ironically, these are things that we should all be doing in each of our Sunday School classes anyway. My prayer is that you would continue to pursue these goals even after the challenge is done.

Remember, the last Sunday night of this month we are having cottage prayer meetings in our homes. This is a great opportunity for you and your class to pray, study God’s Word, and fellowship together. We will have no services here that evening. We will have church in each other’s homes. This is scheduled for Sept. 29. Your start and ending time is totally up to you.

At the conclusion of the MGSSFC, we will be having a high attendance Sunday. So put NOV. 3 down on your calendar. After the service on the 3rd, we will have a fellowship meal. We are asking that you bring enough sides for your family + 3 people so that we can accompany our guests on that day. The church will be providing chicken. I have spoken with Bro. Bradley and he said he would shave his head if we reach 600 (Don’t tell Misty).
