Operation Christmas Child – Has a New Relay Center

Categories: News

Hey Church Family,

Recently Mount Gilead was contacted by one of the largest mission organizations in our country.  Samaritan’s Purse (aka Operation Christmas Child, aka the shoebox ministry) has asked us to join Heritage Baptist Church as a Relay Center for our area.

By participating in this ministry, Mount Gilead will serve as a drop off location for individuals, organizations, and other churches, where they can drop off their shoebox gifts.  We will pack them into larger boxes and deliver them to another location where the shoeboxes will be shipped to Atlanta.  We are going to need volunteers to be warm, friendly faces for those bringing their shoeboxes to our church.  This is a great way to participate in missions and get to know the people of our community.  I am asking that you volunteer for a two hour time slot.  Below, you will see our Relay Center hours of operation.  Would you please help us share the love of Jesus through this ministry?  I know you will be blessed.

IMPORTANT NOTE: This ministry is in addition to the shoeboxes we normally collect.
