Operation Christmas Child Update 2014

Categories: News

Merry Christmas Everyone!

I Ho-Ho-Hope you are enjoying these God-given days. I can’t believe Christmas is here already. It seems like we were just preparing for the Fall Festival. Take advantage of these days and worship the Lord and spend time with your family.

We recently concluded our second year as a Relay Center for Operation Christmas Child. Mount Gilead packed 144 shoeboxes this year (That’s 44 more than last year), which will be shipped around the globe and used by missionaries to present the life-changing gospel of Jesus to children and their families.

It’s amazing to me to think of the impact our church is having globally. Have you considered what God may do with the shoebox you brought? I know what you’re thinking; “It’s just a box with a few trinkets. It’s not much.” Operation Christmas Child reminds me of a boy I once read about with 5 loaves and 2 fish. I was impressed with the heart of our people as they volunteered to serve. Each one, being willing to play a small part in God’s Kingdom.

I look forward to participating in this ministry for years to come. Don’t miss out on doing your part in God’s Kingdom next year. Pack a shoebox. Volunteer to help in our Relay Center.

Jesus is the Greatest Gift!
