March is going to be a very important month for Mount Gilead’s future. For that reason, I am asking for your 100% commitment to be in Sunday School and Sunday morning worship each Sunday for the month of March.
Here’s why. March will launch our 20/20 Vision for the future of Mount Gilead. Last year, I visited each Sunday School class and spoke to you about a plan for Mount Gilead to make disciples. We discussed some of our strengths and weaknesses. Then, we dreamed about ways to engage people in ministry, strengthen Christians in faith, and win the lost for Christ.
In the month of March, we will devote each Sunday Morning to clarifying this vision and showing how we plan to put feet to our faith. Our 20/20 Vision has three core values:
- Captured by God’s Glory- Creating worshippers by leading people to treasure God.
- Connected to God’s Family- Fostering community by guiding people into Christ-centered fellowship.
- Committed to God’s Vision- Producing servants by sending people to fulfill the great commission.
For the first three weeks we will take one value each Sunday to study and discuss in Sunday School and expound upon in worship. During the final Sunday of March, we will discuss a plan for moving people where they are spiritually to the next stage of spiritual growth.
Our 20/20 Vision plan will include measureable goals that we are strategizing to reach by (you guessed it) the year 2020. Please make plans to attend Sunday School and worship each week of the month of March as together we seek to “Glorify God by creating Christ followers who change the world.”
